When I started my coaching with Alicia I was probably at the lowest I had ever been with both my physical & mental health. My family had struggled for a long time with infertility and pregnancy loss. I did what I always do & ate my emotions away. We were blessed with two beautiful children, but when my youngest was 4yrs old I decided a change needed to occur. I wanted to be the best Mum I could be. The problem is I was holding my self back, I didn't want photo's taken of me and didn't want to go swimming or do some other fun activities with the kids. I also had a lot of extended family who would comment a lot about my weight which just “confirmed my thoughts” of myself.
Alicia helped me realise that my focus shouldn't be on a size or weight it should be on being healthy. She helped me prioritize my goals and focus not on the scales but on eating healthy clean food. She even helped me learn to not feel guilty for having a treat. With her help I have been able to change my thoughts about myself and therefore change the unhealthy relationship I had with food. I can not say that I am the skinniest I have ever been, but I have lost weight. But most importantly I have learnt that being healthy, that is eating clean and fresh food and exercise and how I actually feel is more important. For the first time in many years I took a photo with my kids and not only didn't think twice about taking the photo - I also love it!!
